Cupping
Cupping therapy is a traditional healing practice that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction pulls the skin and underlying tissues upward, which can enhance blood flow and promote healing in the area. Essentially, the cups create a vacuum that encourages circulation, helping to alleviate muscle tension and reduce inflammation.
Cupping leaves circular marks on the skin where the stagnant blood vessels have come to the surface. This can result in purple or red marks that can last anywhere from 7-10 days.
